Hospital Work Experience Program Continues to Thrive!

Following the success of our first work experience scheme for nursing staff, eight local students were invited to take part in our latest version of the program – for non-nursing roles! The scheme followed a similar format, mixing both academic work with clinical and non-clinical placements around the hospital.

Healthwatch event - Tuesday 3 November

Healthwatch are holding a free event in Middleton Hall, Centre:MK on Tuesday 3 November from 10am-6pm for all to attend to find out more information about health and social care services in Milton Keynes.

Public Governor Vacancies Update

Nominations of Public Governor for the Stantonbury, Stony Stratford and Wolverton constituency has now closed and we can now introduce you to the candidates:

Hospital Worker Named in Prestigious Patient Leaders List

Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is proud to announce that staff member Leigh Kendall has been named amongst 50 people in the Health Service Journal’s (HSJ) first ever Patient Leaders list. 

Communications Manager Leigh was nominated for her work on her Hugo’s Legacy campaign.

Milton Keynes Hospital main reception is moving

Milton Keynes Hospital main reception has moved

As part of the significant building works to improve the hospital, the current main reception closed on Monday June 29, 2015 to increase the space available for urgent and emergency care.

As a result, patients and visitors are no longer able to access the hospital through this route.

Milton Keynes has become a University Hospital

Milton Keynes Hospital has entered into a partnership with the University of Buckingham to become a University Teaching Hospital.

This will allow us to attract, train and retain the best doctors and contribute towards the financial stability of the organisation.   

As part of this move, the trust changed its name to Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust on 2 April 2015.
