Respiratory Consultant - MRCP (Gen Med), MSc, MRCP (Res Med)
Dr Patil graduated in medicine from South India and completed his General Medicine training (SHO) in Scotland and Bristol. Dr Patil undertook respiratory training from the East of England Deanery, with the specialist respiratory training (Lung Cancer and Sleep medicine) being at Papworth Hospital. Dr Patil completed research in Asthma and Allergy at The David Hide Asthma and Allergy centre on Isle of Wight with University of Southampton.
Dr Patil has a particular interest in interventional respiratory procedures and currently runs the Endobronchial Ultrasound service at MKUH. He further has an interest in Adult Allergy and Asthma and plans to establish these services at MK.
Dr Patil is actively involved in teaching and regularly teaches sessions for University of Buckingham Medical students.
He has a special interest in research and has published in peer reviewed journals in the field.
